Tax Writeoff May Pay for Black Friday Purchases

Tax Write Off For a Donated Vehicle Can Be Significant

Dollarphotoclub_71433092Serving the Concord, San Ramon, Clayton, Lamorinda and entire Bay Area for 16 years, Cars2ndChance and Concord/Clayton Sunrise Rotary Club have been providing valuable tax credits when vehicles are donated, running or not. A quick call to 925-360-5260 before 12/31/14 can yield big benefits — perhaps even pay for the Black Friday shopping you and I did!

Our service includes additional benefits including the option of selecting one of many community non-profit organizations that receive 50% of all sale or sale-for-parts. See the list of non-profits supported.

Have a question? Our FAQ may have the answer. If not, please give us a call — we would be happy to help.

We’re often asked, why Cars2ndChance and not another worthwhile organization that accepts vehicle donations?

First, check with the organization to determine how much every dollar goes to overhead. Cars2ndChance overhead is very small — only the bare necessities to keep the organization running on all cylinders. This means that more of the sale proceeds go to the charities you designate!

About Cars2ndChance 50/50 Split Program

Dollarphotoclub_35680071Before a vehicle is donated, typically a person will go to this website’s Donation Form and fill out the information necessary to process the request.

There is one addition that many people may not be aware. It’s our 50/50 Split program. Here’s how it works:

A 501C3 non-profit meets with us and if the acceptance criteria is met, their non-profit is announced on this website and they are added to the Donation Form.

On the Donation Form is a field labeled, “Select A Recipient”. Currently 16 non-profits are participating in Cars2ndChance!

Dollar Donation is Maximized

Let’s say a donated vehicle we take to auction collects $2,000.  If a non-profit Recipient was selected among the 50/50  Split participants, $1,000 would go to that charity and $1,000 to Cars2ndChance and the Clayton/Concord Sunrise Rotary Club.

You may be curious how much I get for a tax write-off. In this case, it’s $2,000. Yes, that’s right, a $2,000 tax deduction.

Why Donate to Cars2ndChance?

It’s simple — everyone benefits:  the local community, local and international charities and of course, your pocketbook! Contact us with your questions and requests for pick-up of a vehicle, running or not.

Tax Deduction 2014 Donate Your Vehicle

Make a vehicle donation before 12/31/14 and receive a tax deduction for 2014. And remember, running or not, we will pick it up. You get the tax deduction and Rotary International charities receive a donation.  Contact us if you have a question! All donations are subject to terms and conditions.

Now is a great time to donate that car, boat, RV or motorcycle that is running or not.

Donating a vehicle through Cars2ndChance program, operated by Rotary International Sunrise Clayton/Concord Club is a win-win. Many non-profits have much higher overhead than Cars2ndChance. We maintain a very low overhead — the day-to-day operations are volunteer-led. With a desire to serve our local communities and assist in international aid efforts (see images below), Rotary and the Cars2ndChance program are at the forefront of philanthropic work. You’ll see it in our smiles and a genuine show of appreciation for your vehicle donation. And of course, when a vehicle is donated before 12/31/14, you receive a tax deduction for 2014.
