Attached is a sample of the title/pink slip document showing you where to sign and enter mileage. If you do not have a title we will need your most current registration and two DMV forms completed. Call me for further instructions.

Please do not make corrections/cross outs on the title, DMV will reject if errors are made. When I have the title in hand I will complete the “release of liability”, moving ownership from you to the Clayton Valley Rotary Charitable Fund.

Once we have the title in hand the vehicle will be towed from your location either to an auction site or to D&H Enterprises in Concord for evaluation. You can coordinate pickup day/time with the tow company who will contact you directly.

Attached you will find the Donor Form which you will need to complete with a social security number in order to receive a 1098-C tax form. If your vehicle sells for under $500.00 the documentation you will receive will be a letter reporting the sale. Your tax deduction will be the vehicle’s gross sale amount. Keep in mind that the sale process can take several weeks and then additional time for my team of volunteers to process the tax form or letter. If you have chosen a Partner, a letter documenting the sale and a check for the Partner’s portion of the proceeds will be mailed directly to that entity.
